1. What is Supra Sunday? Supra Sunday is an introductory open-track driving school designed for MK5 Supra Owners and funded with the purchase of a new Supra. This one day program always on a Sunday includes classroom, paced track laps, car control drills and skills, and professional classroom and and driver instruction.
2. How fast will I have to drive? The Supra Sunday program is geared to drivers who have never been on a closed run course. The MK5 is a very capable machine and speeds of 100mph+ can easily be obtained but you are in control of how fast you'd like to drive. All students are introduced to the program and slower speeds with higher speeds coming at the end of the day when you have experience, classroom knowledge and familiarity with the road course.
3. Do I need to modify my car? No. The Toyota Supra is well balanced, easy to drive and very fun. All that is required is an approved helmet.
4. Will it hurt my car? Absolutely not. The GR Supra was designed for the track with great handling, excellent braking and wonderful balance. You will be driving on track for approximately 1.5 hours broken up into four 15 and 20 minute sessions. You will begin with Instructed orientation laps performed at 50 mph and increase speeds as you learn and become more comfortable. The Supra Sunday program is equivalent to a long spirited drive in the country or a fun weekend of driving on curvy roads.
5. Is there education? Yes. The Supra Sunday program mirrors our benchmark HPDE 1 educational proram involving professional education from Driver/Instructor Dr. John Santiago. The classroom sessions introduce safety and performance driving basics followed by on-track professiaonlly instructed sessions followed by classroom debriefing. Total classroom time is approximately 3.5 hours on Sunday.
6. Do I need extra insurance? Some drivers prefer to purchase track day specific insurance which can cover the entire value of your vehicle however the majority of the drivers in this marketplace do not. We recommend Hagerty Track Day Insurance

8. What is the instruction format? You will be driving your car on track in a lead/follow format. This involves following a professional instrutor who you'll be following and mimicking for most of the day. This is a very effective way of learning performance driving. We will stop the cars on track during lunch laps to discuss key corners followed by some lapping and then another stop for a different key corner discussion. Lead/Follow is best done with one instructor to 2 or 3 follow cars (MK5 Supras naturally). At the end of the day you'll have the option to have a professional instructor drive your car to show you it's capabilities followed by you driving in a collaborative in-car learning and fast laps. You can opt out of this option if you prefer.
9. Can I bring my son/daughter/spouse? Absolutely! We structure the lunch time laps so you can share the right seat with a family member or friend. There is no cost to them. Helmets are NOT required for lunch time touring laps.
